How does AZIZ Auto Repair make it right?

AZIZ Auto Repair’s trained technicians use state of the art computer scanners to “talk” to your car’s onboard computer to find out exactly where the problem is. Based on this information, AZIZ Auto Repair can make a service recommendation to correct the problem accurately.

The average vehicle on the road today contains many sophisticated electronics and computing technologies that make the car operate as intended. Nearly every system on your vehicle; from steering and brakes, to fuel injectors and air conditioning are all controlled by the onboard computer.  This onboard computer or (CPU) has a series of sensors, through which it can determine if there is a problem with any system while notifying the driver via dashboard warning indicator lights.

Any number of things may go wrong with your vehicle at any time during ownership.  There are sensors in your vehicle that will notify the onboard computer or (CPU) when there is a problem.  Some sensors tell the CPU when the mixture of air and gasoline are not correct. Other sensors tell the CPU when the engine timing is off, or the vehicle’s emissions are incorrect. When the ABS (anti-lock braking system) is not working properly the onboard computer or (CPU) will let you know via the dashboard indicator lights. While most of these problems are displayed in the form of a dashboard indicator light, other vehicle issues will generate a “code,” or notification to the car’s on-board computer that something is wrong in normal vehicle operation.

CAR CARE TIPS

Did you know......According to recent study by the National Transportation and Safety Administration, (www.nhtsa.dot.gov) more than 25% of all passenger cars and more than 33% of all light trucks have under inflated tires.  What does this mean to you?

  • Lower gas mileage - lower tire pressure means lower gas mileage. For each pound of under inflation, your gas mileage can drop up to 1%!
  • Tire Failure - under inflation is the leading cause of tire failure.
  • Faster Tread wear - lower tire pressure also causes the tread to wear out faster and forces premature replacement.
  • Poorer handling - the point where the tire meets the road is a crucial element in determining the ride control of your vehicle. Under inflation prevents your ride control system from functioning properly.
